The road to the forest was a quiet one so late in the evening, the only light of the sun that remained was the glow peaking out from behind the horizon, giving way to a twilight sky where the first twinkling stars appeared. The cool breeze blew gently, the air was cool but not too cold, just comfortable as Vivian walked down the road towards the forest, her platinum blonde hair bouncing around her shoulders with each stride. Normally she would have driven, but tonight the young woman had felt like a walk would do her some good. Inhaling deeply she smiled to herself, admiring the familiar smells of the forest and nearby area with a fondness that only someone who truly admired natural beauty could possess.
As she drew closer to the forest she scanned the nearby area with curious blue-green eyes. Vivian had always felt rather protective of this part of the forest, the part furthest away from town and civilization, the part her inner wolf appreciated herself because here she could be herself without worry of humans. Once again she inhaled deeply but this time it was to try and scent other shifters who might be near. Deciding that the area was clear for now, Vivian ran a slender hand through her hair, before tossing it over her shoulder and striding into the forest like it was her kingdom and she the queen. Today she wore a comfortable pair of jeans and a black t-shirt that hung low around her neck.
Walking deeper into the woods were most humans would probably get lost without a guide because it was way off the beaten path, Vivian finally stopped when she came to a peaceful grove in the woods. The trees seemed to open up to the darkening sky, where one could see the shining stars through the sparse canopy above. In the clearing there was a fallen log that seemed to have been placed there by someone as a bench of sort, but on closer inspection one would see that it was a fallen tree that seemed to have fell that way by coincidence. Vivian walked over to the log and laid back on it, arching her legs so that her knees were up in the air and closed her eyes lightly, letting the thoughts of the day course through her mind.
